Just when you thought you’ve seen it all…

From the suburbs to the skyscrapers, my family and I have experienced a bit of a lot, but there’s always room for more, and more is what we are about to experience in Chanchen.

What a unique opportunity our Father has given Sanctuary to be part of the planting of His Story in this unique community.  I’d like to invite you to follow us as we experience, immerse, learn, love, proclaim, and transform during one week this winter.

Four adventurous people, Miguel, Manuel, Susie and Ben. We covet your prayers just as Paul did back in the days: “pray also for us that God may open a door to us for the message, to speak the mystery of the Messiah… so that I may reveal it as I am required to speak. Colossians 4:3-4

Pray for:

Humility to depend on the Holy Spirit

Protection

Focus on our task

Grace among the people

FRIDAY JANUARY 23…

So the excitement  grew, but the night was short.  We thank Father for Zack who was at point of pickup on time… and loader our suitcases. We know the enemy is working… after one suitcase spilled all its contents on the SA airport floor, and two of our 4 ‘missionaries’ were detained by security for having pocket knives int their suitcases (honest mistake), and loosing one suitcase in route, we know it’s going to be a glorious week.

The trip was great.  The land of humidity is wonderful.  Doug and Darla are great hosts. Although the electricity went out for a couple of hours, we are thankful that we are settled in our air conditioned rooms.  We left Kerrville with snow flakes falling on us… we are here enjoying the AC.  We definitely have so much to be thankful.

Prayer Requests:

Tomorrow we go to the village of Chanchen.  Prayer route is on the agenda.  Ask Father to help us be sensitive to His Spirit to go to the right people, the right place… to the people of peace.  That the gospel could flow freely through us, as instruments of His righteousness.

The heavens and the earth [and the oceans of Paamul] declare the glory of our Dad!

Our internet comes and goes, but hopefully we’ll be able to update you on our trip, and update some pictures as well.

Thanks for lifting us up.
